A GPS device manufactured by a Korean company is now available on the European market.
The ThinkNavi T7 from the Thinkware company is a GPS device with a 7-inch LCD screen, SiRF III GPS chipset, and built-in DVB-T TVtuner. Featuring voice guidance in 20 languages, the ThinkNavi T7 has maps of 45 European countries.

The good news is that Garmin, the leading manufacturer of GPS devices, has recently launched a GPS gadget designed for trucks. Garmin’s latest product is called the nüvi 465T. It can support various truck types, featuring advanced routing and guidance. This feature supports truck-related road limitations such as width, height, and weight.
In addition, the nüvi 465T is the first GPS device that offers locations in the National Truck and Trailer Services (NTTS) Breakdown Directory. This directpry holds pertinent data on truck repair facilities across the United States.

Internet connectivity is everywhere–even in cars. Beginning on April, Cadillac will feature an optional 3G wireless router in its CTS Sport sedans. 3G download speeds may vary from 400 to 800 kbps. If there’s no 3G, then expect that the best you could get is 200 kbps.
The wi-fi router is priced at around $500. The service, which is provided by Autonet Mobile, costs around $30 for 1 GB every month.

Popular GPS manufacturer TomTom has recently announced that it began providing map updates to its customers. The subscription-based service called the TomTom Map Update Service is designed to deliver map updates every quarter for a one-time fee of $39.80 or $9.95 per map release. New subscribers will be alerted of new updates when their GPS devices are connected to the computer and the TomTom Home service.

This device is the updated version of the Alpine PND-K3 GPS. The latest Alpine GPS device sports a host of features such as alternate 3-D map view, easy-to-use windshield and dashboard mount, text-to-speech, and MP3 support, among others. The MSN Direct features included in the device are information on real-time traffic, gas prices, movie schedule, and weather. The PND-K3msn costs $299.95, excluding the service fee, which charges $49.95 per year (or $129.95 for a lifetime membership).
